STAR GAZING (Audio Play)
Short audio play (10-page script) – A medium dives into the dream of a kidnapper to uncover the whereabouts of his latest victim.
Only one take is needed. If you choose to do two, please make sure they are much different from each other. No more than two takes. Pay rate is listed for each character. Deadline is Tuesday June 17 at 10pm.
We are a SAG-AFTRA signatory podcast so Union and non-union actors may submit.
SPECS
Mono, mp3 128, unprocessed raw file (no noise gate, no compressor, nothing), file size should be less than 6mb.

KURT (Male, 20s-50s) Obsessed with Anna. Will do anything to keep her for himself. Initially comes off as sincere but his dark side is revealed along the way.
Pay $90.
Lines:
1. “So if this is all true, and there is another me, and I do dig that information out of my head. And you find her. Then that me - the me I can’t even remember - is going to go to jail, right? For a long time. Why would I want that?”
2. “I don’t know where she is!”
3. “If you did, I’m guessing this would be more of an interrogation. Chokehold. Waterboarding. But let me guess. You can’t even touch me. You’re like a ghost. Harmless.”
MOLLY (Female, 20s-50s). A medium who has invaded Kurt’s dream to confront him. She’s very matter of fact with no fear. Doing whatever she can to uncover the whereabouts of his victim.
Pay $90.
Lines:
1. “I have a gift, Kurt. I can reach out to a sleeping person and just touch them - and enter their dreams. Which sounds cool, but really not so much. You think people telling you about their dreams is boring? Visiting their dreams is worse. Like this place.”
2. “You think you’re a good guy? That’s great. Be a good guy. Because the real you - the awake you - isn’t a good guy. He’s done bad things. And he deserves to be punished. Think.”
ANNA (Female, 20s-30s). Loves Kurt in a Stepford wife kind of way.
Pay $40.
Lines: (All should be delivered in a genuine endearing way)
1. “Did you have a good day at the office?”
2. “I missed you so much.”
3. “For dinner we’re having roast lamb, with mashed potatoes and asparagus.”
4. “Let me get back to the kitchen. I love you.”
